Expenses Module

Work on the Expenses functionality in Workday is currently in progress, and the goal is to go live in 2018.  In mid-June the implementation team completed the initial prototype of the system and testing will take place throughout July.

Expenses implementation details can be found on the Expenses schedule page.

Procurement Module

On Monday, April 17, The Claremont Colleges launched the procurement module of the Workday Financial System.

Workday procurement provides a formalized process for the request, approval, and purchase of goods and services. Requests route through an electronic business process similar to supplier invoices. Workday procurement also allows users to request quotes from suppliers, track supplier contracts and purchase orders, and improves real-time spending and budget visibility.

Workday 30

On Saturday, March 10, Workday conducted its twice yearly system update. The latest release, Workday 30, has minor visual changes. (Access to this document is limited to the IP range of The Claremont Colleges.)

The Workday Management Group, along with the project’s core design team, has been configuring and testing reporting and security enhancements that will affect users. A notice of new functionality will be distributed when configuration and testing is complete.

If you have any questions, please contact one of the please Workday Core/Design Team members at your institution.

Phase IIb

On Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, we will start the design process for Workday Financials system Phase IIb, which adds a procurement module (purchasing and buying) to the existing system. Go live scheduled for February 2017. Check back often for more information about the project’s process.

If you would like additional information about the Workday Financials Phase IIb, please contact a Core/Design Team member from your institution.
